We publish Blairgowrie's medians once we have a reported figure with a date.
Blairgowrie is where Sorrento's bustle gives way to tea-tree and moonah. The blocks are bigger, the streets are sandy and most houses sit back behind native gardens. The Blairgowrie Yacht Squadron and marina anchor the front beach, while Bridgewater Bay and the Koonya ocean beach are a short drive over the hill.
It has long been a family holiday suburb and that still shows in the housing stock — modest fibro and weatherboard beach houses on 800–1,200 m² blocks, increasingly being replaced by substantial new homes. Prices track Sorrento at a discount of around 20 per cent, which keeps buyers interested.
The shopping strip on Point Nepean Road has a supermarket, a few cafes and the pub. Everything else is five minutes away in Sorrento or Rye.
